Live Sound, Lighting & Stage Production
This one-year course casts you straight into the world of live events - you’ll be behind the scenes and on the floor at real gigs in real venues, learning how to make a show run from the ground up.
Develop your skills in our award winning facilities including IMRO’s Dublin Venue of the Year 2025, The Button Factory which boasts 3 performance spaces, a 550 capacity Main Room, Curveball, Crowbar and 7 rehearsal rooms in Temple Lane Rehearsals.
Here you’ll help run Tilt, Dublin's premier monthly showcase for growing and discovering emerging bands and artists.
You'll also work on regular shows in Curveball, gaining experience in everything from live sound to lighting, staging, artist liaison and event operations.
Led by working professionals, this course gives you the practical skills, insider knowledge, and the contacts you need to start your career.

This is a hands-on, real-world course, and that means you’ll be running actual events, rather than talking about them. From early in the year, students take on key roles at live gigs, learning how to problem-solve under pressure and deliver professional shows from start to finish.
We’ve been training industry pros for over 30 years . We know that learning on the job is what really sets people up for success. Many of our former students are now working across tours, venues, and festivals, check out past students below for just a few examples.
During the course you’ll learn
Professional Live Production
Stage Production
Backline Technologies
Sound Reinforcement
Event Operations

Throughout the course, you’ll also hear directly from guest speakers working across the live music scene, engineers, tour managers, production crew, all sharing insights to help sharpen your skills and shape your future.
