A musician through and through, Pete Meighan's creative journey began at a young age, when he was immersed in the world of live performance alongside his father, a gigging traditional Irish musician. Raised in a family rich with musical talent, Pete learned the ropes of live sound engineering, equipment setup, and musicianship while gigging with his father around Munster. His uncle, a professional showband guitarist constantly on tour, further exposed Pete to the life of a traveling musician, allowing him rare moments with a prized 1964 Telecaster and MusicMan amplifier, but more importantly, granting him the freedom to carve his own musical path.

Pete’s career as a session musician, engineer, producer, and programmer has been marked by a remarkable range of collaborations. From his work with North Atlantic Oscillation on five albums, where he helped blend electronica and progressive post-rock across projects steeped in experimentation, sound design, and even generative multimedia videos, to his involvement in the Meteor Award-nominated The World Should Know by Couse and The Impossible. His touch on each project is both innovative and profound. He’s known for his ability to bridge the sonic worlds of experimentation and precision. His composition work under the guise of Moon with the frontman from Hybrasil, is an evocative mix of 80s cinema, French pop, and the descriptions of city's at night in the books of Haruki Murakami.

More than a musician, Pete is a ball of creative energy with a fascination for the "toys"—synths, sequencers, samplers, and pedals—while also being a meticulous perfectionist. His work ethic is unparalleled, always striving for the right sound, whether that means following the technical rules, catering to a client’s vision, or chasing the moment that turns something simple into something magical. His instinct for sound is amazing, able to make even an out-of-tune guitar resonate sonorously.
