- This years second years have released a charity CD in aid of the ISPCC. The album "Behind Closed Doors" features artists such as Delorentos, Noise Controil, Juno Falls, Dave Geraghty and many more. The album is on sale now in Tower Records for €10 and is also available for download from CD Baby, itunes and Amazon.
- Ex STC student Jason O Donaghy has just completed the recording of Sum 41's new album in LA.
- STC are proud to extend our congratulations to 3 graduates of the
college; Nofe Liberty, Fergal Toohey and Russell Cooley; their band
AMASIS was the proud recipient of the Meteor 2010 Award for Most
Promising New Artist. Well done guys!
- STC graduate Daniel Castelar was a BRITs award nominee for his work on the highly acclaimed Paulo Nutini album "Sunny Side Up". Paulo Nutini went on to win the Meteor 2010 Award for Best International Album.
- Snow Patrol song Chasing Cars was the most widely played song of the decade, according to music licensing body PPL. The track was produced by Garreth "Jacknife" Lee and was recorded in our Grouse Lodge Studios.
- Sound Training Centre will have a stand at this years Which course expo in the RDS on 28th & 29th August.The expo is from 11.00 to 18.00 both days. Hope to see you there!
- Grouse Lodge has become the focus of huge media attention following the unfortunate loss of Michael Jackson. Michael spent five months recording new material with co-producers Will I Am, Rodney Jerkins and Neffu in Grouse Lodge. The recordings are believed to be among the last remaining works of this great Artist. Lets hope that the demand will result in the release of these new songs.
- Ex-graduate Owen Lewis has become one of the youngest chief sound engineers for Record Plant Studio in L.A. These studios are renowned for the most successful client-base in the world.
- The"Sparks n' Mind" album released by last years students is still available at Tower Records. The album was released in aid of Aware and deals with themes of personal
and creative growth, hope and guidance, which the students felt relevant to
the themes “Aware” deals with, in helping people suffering from
depression.
The album comprises of contemporary Irish artists covering influential musicians
and songwriters including Bell X1, Republic of Loose, Duke Special and Damien
Dempsey to up and coming alternative acts like Story of Hair, Halves,

- The Sound Training Centre's Sun Studio and our Grouse Lodge studios featured on RTE's 'Raw Sessions" with STC graduate James Durkin heading the technical team. The show, which was a huge success, also featured ex graduate R.S.A.G.
- STC graduate Gavin Lynch aka Matador has signed to the illustrious Cocoon Dance Label.
